Excluded Cases / Documents
In accordance with General Order 08-02, the following documents and cases are excluded from electronic filing:
- Actions and documents filed by pro se litigants,
- Under seal and in camera documents,
- Initial papers commencing a civil or criminal action, (including third-party complaints, counter claims and cross-claims),
- Records for bankruptcy appeals, habeas corpus proceedings and administrative review cases,
- Applications for pen registers, search warrants, seizure warrants, arrest warrants, wiretaps, cellsite information, tracking services and other such precharging documents,
- Bond related documents,
- Limited criminal duty documents, and
- The following specific cases:
- No cases have been specifically excluded by the Court at this time.
Other civil documents that are excluded from electronic filing include:
- Amended complaint
- Intervenor complaint
- Consolidated complaint
- Corrected complaint
- Joinder in complaint
- Interpleader
- Claim
- Verified Claim
- Any first appearance document filed by a third-party or non-party to the case
- Abstract of judgment
- Registration of judgment
- Bond-related documents
- Amendments to any of the documents listed above, including third-party complaints, counterclaims and cross-claims
